What Our Clients Say - Testimonials

Case Outcomes

In a criminal justice system filled with excuses, best intentions, and future promises, this cold, cruel world only cares about one thing: results. Either you do what you say you’re going to do, or you become the next person on the docket with a longwinded excuse.

We set high expectations for our clients.
And we have high expectations of our clients, too.
In turn, our clients expect results.

But simply offering a list of cases that have been dismissed fails to illustrate how and why the criminal justice system works better when these types of cases are dismissed. Our practice is not based upon bragging that we’re the most aggressive, cutthroat lawyers you can hire.

That’s not our style, and don’t hire us if you’re looking for a lawyer to be a jerk on your behalf.

Our practice is based upon the principle that the criminal justice system works best when responsible people work hard to solve their problems. We don’t get cases dismissed by bullying or intimidating another lawyer into doing something they don’t want to do. Cases are dismissed because they should be dismissed. Prosecutors dismiss cases because it’s the right thing to do. Cases aren’t filed and disputes aren’t prosecuted when responsible people work out their differences without needing to clog up court dockets and probation offices. In most cases, we can find a better solution for all stakeholders than what the justice system has to offer.

But it’s a lot of hard work.

Our loyalty is to our client, but they aren’t the only ones who demand results from us.

When we give our word to a judge that our client is doing well in substance abuse treatment, the judge expects to see results.

When we work with a victim to coordinate restitution payments and apology letters and counseling as part of restorative justice, they expect that our client is sincere and participating with integrity.

When we advocate for innocent clients to a prosecutor, he or she demands that we back up our assertions with investigation and witness statements.

Results, results, results.

It’s what every participant in the criminal justice system wants to see. And it doesn’t happen because we went to law school with the prosecutor or are good friends with the judge.

It only happens when there is hard work by two people: the client & the criminal defense lawyer. Working together, we can achieve amazing results.
