If you are convicted of DWI or certain DWI-related offenses, you will pay an annual surcharge on your drivers license for a period of three years.
A DWI-1st results in a $1,000 surcharge paid annually for three years, for a total of $3,000.
A DWI-2nd results in a $1,500 surcharge paid annually for three years, for a total of $4,500.
Any conviction with a blood-alcohol content of 0.16 or greater results in a $2,000 annual surcharge for three years, for a total of $6,000. |
